SEASONAL REFLECTIONS

Advent Reflections

Advent is a season of joy filled with traditions. Yet it can also be a season of sadness, of lost hope and disappointments.

In a Christmas sermon, Dietrich Bonhoeffer had noted:

“The celebration of Advent is possible only to those who are troubled in soul, who know themselves to be poor and imperfect, and who look forward to something greater to come.”

This is the reason God allowed the Christmas story to come to unfold as it did.

He wants us to know that He gets us.

God became one of us, and because of this,

He knows us.

Lenten Reflections

All the remedies that humanity needs can be found in:

The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ

By meditating and contemplating the mysteries of Christ, especially those of His Passion, Death, and Resurrection, all humanity will be able to reconcile with God, himself, and everyone. This, in order to find peace, happiness, reconciliation, and to heal all the consequences caused by sin, thus, to live in the Kingdom of God, which we ask for everyday in our Lord’s prayer:

“Thy Kingdom come; thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven…”
